What SYSPRO publishes about pricing
No dollar figure. The SYSPRO site offers a demo request, and SoftwareConnect says plainly that set pricing is not published online and that companies generally buy through a value added reseller who also runs implementation and training. What SYSPRO does publish is the scope of what you are buying.
- ERP for manufacturers and distributors, sold for almost 50 years and now described as cloud first
- Financials, inventory, purchasing, MRP, quality and traceability in one system
- Manufacturing Operations Management, with finite capacity scheduling, shop floor data collection and OEE, TEEP and OLE reporting
- Industry versions for food and beverage, automotive, industrial machinery, electronics, packaging, plastics and rubber, metal and fabrication, and chemicals
It also published one document in 2026 that changes how every quote is built.
How the 2026 SYSPRO licensing change affects the price
On July 15, 2026 SYSPRO posted a formal notice to customers. It says the company is discontinuing the Initial License Fee and Annual License Fee model, and that the software will only be available under a named user, subscription based platform model. This applies to all customers.
| Point in the notice | What it means for your budget |
|---|---|
| Current licenses run to December 31, 2026 in the US, October 31, 2026 elsewhere | Your 2027 budget needs a subscription line, not a maintenance line |
| A new subscription agreement is needed after that date | Without one, the notice says you can no longer access SYSPRO |
| Named users | Every person who logs in is counted, where concurrent licensing counted people logged in at once |
| Full module entitlement is included | You may get modules you never licensed, at a price set by user count |
| Initial license fees do not carry forward | What you paid years ago does not reduce the subscription |
| Right to export your data | You can leave with your records if the quote does not work |
SYSPRO's notice gives no price and tells customers to contact their account manager or certified partner. So the figures below are still estimates, and several of them were written before the change.
The SYSPRO cost estimates you will find online
These are the ones with a source we could read ourselves. They do not agree.
| Source | What it estimates | Figure |
|---|---|---|
| ERP Research | Cloud subscription per user | 75 to 200 USD per user a month |
| SoftwareConnect | Cloud subscription per user | 150 to 250 USD per user a month, listed starting price 150 USD |
| SoftwareConnect | Smaller cloud setups | 1,500 to 2,500 USD a month to start |
| SoftwareConnect | Yearly range | 20,000 to 100,000 USD a year |
| ERP Research | Implementation | 30,000 to 500,000 USD |
| ERP Research | Rollout time | 3 to 6 months |
| ERP Research | Typical total cost of ownership | 50,000 to 250,000 USD |
| ERP Research | Old on premise perpetual license | 1,500 to 5,000 USD per concurrent user |
| SoftwareConnect | Old on premise license | 3,000 to 5,000 USD per concurrent user |
| ERP Research | Old on premise maintenance | About 20 percent of the license a year |
Why they disagree: SYSPRO is modular, sold through resellers, and until this year was licensed two ways. The perpetual figures describe a model the vendor is now ending, so treat them as history. They are still useful for one thing, which is working out what your old yearly bill implied.
What actually moves a SYSPRO quote
Five things decide the number. Have an answer to each before the first call.
- Named users. Count everyone who logs in during a month, not the peak at one time. A plant that ran ten concurrent seats often has fifteen or twenty named people
- User types. Ask whether shop floor and read only users are priced below full users, and get the price of each in writing
- Hosting. SoftwareConnect lists cloud, on premise and hybrid deployment. Who hosts it changes who pays for servers, backups and upgrades
- The reseller. Implementation, training and custom reports come from the partner, and SoftwareConnect notes that custom reporting needs Crystal Reports skills
- Add ons outside SYSPRO. SoftwareConnect lists EDI and shipping notifications as third party extras, and there is no native payroll. Month end work can sit outside too: if matching bank lines to the ledger is what eats the controller's week, bank reconciliation software is a much smaller purchase than another ERP module
For a new customer the subscription is rarely the biggest line in year one. The implementation is.
What SYSPRO costs over three years, worked through
Here is the arithmetic for a plant with ten named users. It is a sketch from the published estimates, not a quote.
| Cost line | Low case | Middle case | High case |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subscription per month | 750 USD, 10 users at 75 USD | 1,500 USD, 10 users at 150 USD | 2,500 USD, 10 users at 250 USD |
| Subscription over 36 months | 27,000 USD | 54,000 USD | 90,000 USD |
| Implementation, new customer | 30,000 USD | 30,000 USD | 30,000 USD |
| Three year total, new customer | 57,000 USD | 84,000 USD | 120,000 USD |
| Three year total, existing customer | 27,000 USD | 54,000 USD | 90,000 USD |
Implementation is held at the lowest ERP Research figure in all three cases. A larger rollout only pushes the totals up.
If you already run SYSPRO, compare against what you pay now. Ten concurrent seats bought at 1,500 to 5,000 USD each cost 15,000 to 50,000 USD once, and at about 20 percent that is 3,000 to 10,000 USD a year in maintenance. The same ten people as named subscribers come to 9,000 to 30,000 USD a year at the estimates above. Your partner's quote may differ, and the subscription includes modules the old license did not. The direction is worth knowing before the call.
For a 15 to 40 person plant whose complaint is "we never know which order will ship late", either total is a lot to pay for one answer. A finite capacity scheduler on our Plant plan costs 2,574 USD a year paid yearly, so 7,722 USD over three years, with no implementation fee and unlimited users. Line, for up to 10 work centers, is 894 USD a year, or 2,682 USD over three years.
SYSPRO pricing model next to a per plant subscription
| What you pay for | SYSPRO | ProductionPlanning.ai |
|---|---|---|
| Price visibility | Quote from SYSPRO or a reseller | Published on the pricing page |
| Subscription basis | Per named user, full module entitlement | Per plant, unlimited users |
| Estimated entry | 1,500 to 2,500 USD a month for a small cloud setup per SoftwareConnect | 149 USD a month |
| Implementation | 30,000 to 500,000 USD, 3 to 6 months per ERP Research | None, import a spreadsheet and run |
| Scheduling | Finite capacity scheduling inside Manufacturing Operations Management | The whole product |
| Where it runs | Cloud, on premise or hybrid | In the browser |
| Works next to QuickBooks or another ERP | No, it replaces them | Yes, including next to SYSPRO |
These are different purchases. SYSPRO runs the whole business and scheduling is one part of it. We give a smaller plant a schedule it can trust, next to the books it already keeps. Our SYSPRO ERP alternative page sets the two side by side and says when to stay on SYSPRO.
What to ask on the SYSPRO pricing call
Write these down first. They are the questions that change the number.
- What is the price per named user per month, and is there a lower price for shop floor or read only users
- Is there a minimum user count or a platform fee on top of the users
- How do you count a named user, and what happens when someone leaves and is replaced
- What will the subscription be at the first renewal, and is the increase capped
- Is Manufacturing Operations Management, with its scheduling, in the entitlement or quoted separately
- Is hosting included, and what does on premise cost under the subscription
- For existing customers, is there any credit for license fees already paid, and what is the last date to sign without losing access
- Can we see SYSPRO schedule our own open jobs before we commit
SYSPRO pricing questions buyers ask
How much does SYSPRO ERP cost?
SYSPRO does not publish pricing. ERP Research estimates 75 to 200 USD per user a month and SoftwareConnect 150 to 250 USD, with small cloud setups starting at 1,500 to 2,500 USD a month. Implementation runs from 30,000 USD. For ten named users, three years come to roughly 57,000 to 120,000 USD for a new customer.
How much does SYSPRO cost per user?
Third party estimates range from 75 to 250 USD per user a month. ERP Research gives 75 to 200 USD and SoftwareConnect 150 to 250 USD, with a listed starting price of 150 USD. From 2026 SYSPRO sells named user subscriptions only, so multiply by everyone who logs in, not by the busiest moment of the day.
Is there a SYSPRO price increase in 2026?
For most existing customers, yes, though SYSPRO has not announced it as one. The July 15, 2026 notice replaces annual license fees with a named user subscription. On the published estimates, ten users paying 3,000 to 10,000 USD a year in maintenance move to about 9,000 to 30,000 USD a year. The subscription does add full module entitlement, so ask your partner which modules you would actually use.
Do I have to switch ERP systems because of SYSPRO's pricing change?
No. You can sign the subscription and stay, and the notice keeps your right to export your data if you leave. Switching ERP is a 3 to 6 month project with its own implementation bill, so it rarely pays just to escape a renewal. If the real pain is late orders, a scheduler next to SYSPRO fixes that for 149 USD a plant a month.
Is SYSPRO too expensive for a small plant?
Often, for a plant under about 30 people whose main problem is the schedule. Ten named users run 9,000 to 30,000 USD a year on the estimates above, before any reseller work. For a 50 person plant that needs financials, traceability and MRP in one system, the same money buys a lot more, and SYSPRO can be the right purchase.
Is SYSPRO a subscription or a perpetual license?
Subscription only, going forward. SYSPRO's notice of July 15, 2026 ends the Initial License Fee and Annual License Fee model and replaces it with a named user subscription. Existing licenses stay valid until December 31, 2026 for US customers and October 31, 2026 for others. After that a new subscription agreement is required.
What happens to my SYSPRO license after December 31, 2026?
According to SYSPRO's notice, a US customer who has not signed a subscription agreement by then can no longer access the software. Initial license fees do not carry forward as a perpetual right. You keep the right to export your data, and SYSPRO says it will provide a process for that on request.
How long does a SYSPRO implementation take?
ERP Research puts a typical SYSPRO implementation at three to six months, with costs from 30,000 to 500,000 USD depending on users, modules and data migration. The reseller usually runs it. A per plant scheduler that imports a spreadsheet can publish its first schedule the same afternoon.
Is SYSPRO worth it for a small manufacturer?
It can be for a manufacturer of 50 people or more that wants financials, inventory, traceability and production in one system. For a plant of 10 to 30 people, a per named user subscription and a reseller project are heavy if the main problem is the schedule. Our best production scheduling software roundup compares smaller options with real prices.
Price the schedule before you price the ERP
If late orders are the problem, fix them first for a flat price per plant with the whole floor included. Start on Line at 149 USD a month, or run the demo on a sample week of orders and see where your bottleneck really is. Our pricing page lists every plan, and Epicor Kinetic pricing works through the same arithmetic for the system SYSPRO buyers most often compare.
